Ja tem uns 6 meses que li sobre a volta deles, mas até agora nada. eu curto pra caralho smashing pumpkins, mas as bandas normalmente voltam só para ganhar uma graninha e depois acabar novamente.
Mas espero que eu esteja enganado e que eles continuem existindo como banda, por muito tempo.

sou muito fã dessa banda, adoro mesmo.
Alguem sabe quando sai o novo cd?
por enquanto sao so especulaçoes, tem ate um encarte do cd rolando pela net,datado para lançar em janeiro, mas nao se sabe se é veridico.
o foda é o os guitarrista e baixista originais, james iha e darcy wretzky, podem nao voltar a essa volta da banda, entao seria so billy corgan e jimmy chamberlin e mais um guitarrista e mais um baixista, :/

Tomara que seu retorno nao esteja tao longe, na minha opniao se os Pumpkins voltarem, eles serao a salvacao do rock
so nao fizeram mais sucesso por causa do Nirvana mas agora e pra valer

Caraio! agora eu lembrei, la na comuna dos pumpkins no orkut, tem videos deles no brasil no programa do seginho, programa livre, foda q o youtube sempre falha no meu pc, mas vale a pena conferir!

Noticia nova do Pumpkins:
Smashing Pumpkins To Preview 'Zeitgeist' On Tour
The long-awaited return of the Smashing Pumpkins gets closer with the announcement that Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlain will preview new songs at their Paris Grand Rex show on May 22, reports Y! Music.
The Smashing Pumpkins album entitled Zeitgeist is the first new release under the Pumpkins name since Machina/The Machines Of God in 2000.
Zeitgest has been co-produced by CorgaN, Chamberlain, and producers Roy Thomas Baker and Terry Date working separately on different tracks.
The studio album is due for release this July through Reprise Records.
The band will play several European festivals and concerts throughout the summer, including the Carling Reading/Leeds weekends in the U.K.

Smashing Pumpkins Reunion Line-Up?
Smashing Pumpkins' two new members have allegedly been unveiled.
As previously reported, original guitarist James Iha has said he would not be joining the band for their comeback, while original bassist D'arcy Wretzky has not commented publicly on whether she would be participating in the reunion.
Only frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlain remain from the original band.
Although the group's publicist Mitch Schneider said management have not yet confirmed the lineup to him, the Chicago Tribune has reported that the group's new bassist is Ginger Reyes (formerly of the Halo Friendlies). Iha's replacement will be Jeff Schroeder guitarist from Californian band Lassie Foundation, reports MTV News.
However, neither Schroeder nor Reyes have confirmed their involvement officially, reports Yahoo! News.
In other news, two people have been imprisoned following the theft of artwork expected to feature on the comeback album from Smashing Pumpkins. The band's studio in Chicago is understood to have been burgled last week, but the thieves did not steal any of the valuable equipment or recordings inside.
Instead, the band's management has confirmed that a series of images were taken and then leaked to a Pumpkins fansite. They have since been removed. "Management for the Smashing Pumpkins confirms that the band's rehearsal studio in Chicago was burglarized last week," a statement reads.
"The two people who are now in jail illegally gained access to the band's private space and stole various items belonging to them over the course of several hours while the band had left for the evening.
"The band's management says the group feels their rights have been violated by this crime and will always pursue their rights and the law to protect their property and the safety of themselves, their families and their fans."
According to Pitchfork, photos of Paris Hilton standing in front of an exploding bomb, five children saluting and a close-up of Corgan in a hoodie were amongst those stolen. They are thought to be under consideration for the artwork for the new Pumpkins album, Zeitgeist, which is due for release on July 9.
